Our owner, Jim has been in the PEO / Employee Leasing industry since August 1998 and has had the honor of working with several PEOs. His career started as an outside sales representative, and he was fortunate to move up the corporate ladder to his last position as Executive VP. In July 2003 he started his own company, Alpha Marketing Group, working from his home. In August 2005, Jim changed the name to Alpha Business Solutions.
The company has been highly successful which is attributed to three things; his faith in God, Judy his wife, and having excellent employees. He has owned several other businesses, and worked for RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. He is very involved in his church and in the community. Jim believes integrity is the most important asset a company can have.
Skip joined the company in 2005, and following in Jim’s footsteps, thrives on helping companies find great solutions to their business needs. He continues to enjoy learning more about each of the individual industries represented by the company. Prior to his time at Alpha Business Solutions, Skip spent 20 years at Tropicana Products, Inc. in Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, IT, and the last several years in management.
In addition to his priority of faith and family, Skip has served as a youth leader in his local church for over 30 years and was a board member of Warner University for 15 years. He has completed a marathon and several half marathons with his wife and team member, Sherri and he enjoys playing pinball in his spare time. Maintaining Jim’s philosophy, Skip and the entire team are devoted to follow the Golden Rule in treating all our clients as we want to be treated.
Sherri has been on the Alpha Business Solutions team since 2012, and was instrumental in developing our current Client Care System. Her experience in retail management, program coordination, and her work as a chairperson for several nonprofit programs has been an asset to client care and client retention.
Sherri is the wife of Skip, and the daughter of Jim, making this a true family business. One of her favorite jobs was to raise her 2 daughters as a stay at home mom for 14 years. She then rejoined the workforce as a coordinator for a private school, and eventually came on board at Alpha Business Solutions. As an empty-nester, she now enjoys crafting, gardening and travel. Her faith in God, service to her family, and passion for women’s ministry fill her days to the fullest.
Carlyn is our Director of Strategic Marketing and brings 20 years of experience in business development, sales, finance, and customer service management. She focuses on building external relationships with new and existing business partners. She enjoys the true team aspect at Alpha and assisting her colleagues with their professional development.
Carlyn is passionate about helping other working mothers reach their personal and professional goals. She is actively involved in a number of groups that provide education and support to women in need. The activity that brings her the most joy is spending time with her son and family.
Doug, our senior account executive, assists us with building relationships with clients in Southwest Florida. As an extension of Alpha, and with a background in customer service, Doug carries a sense of care into his work each day. It is his goal to provide an excellent experience for any current or potential client and create a sense of peace around the entire HR component of their business.
When the workday is done, Doug is very active in serving in the youth ministry of the church he attends. He finds tremendous value in being a part of something much bigger than himself and loves working for a business that allows him to serve on such a high level. He loves sunshine, coffee and a good leadership book.
Our Outreach Director, Brittany, came to us with a background in operations, compliance, social networking, and customer service. She manages our social media accounts, and composes our newsletter, marketing materials, and blogs, as well as helping to coordinate Alpha Business Solutions’ community service projects.
One of her favorite aspects of her role with Alpha is that she has the freedom to express her creativity when designing graphics for our social media and website. She enjoys cooking new recipes, reading, traveling, and being a tourist in her own town in her free time.
Billie is our Regional Director of Sales, and her diverse background includes experience with employee benefits, telecommunications, construction, retail and recruiting. She enjoys helping others, and is passionate about finding solutions for businesses in need of workers’ comp coverage that may have no other options.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her children and granddaughter, as well as being an advocate for animals and volunteering at the local homeless shelter. In summer, you will find her at the beach soaking up the sun.
